  description this scheme was concieved as a contemporary variation of the traditional tenement housing typology, repecting the scale and grain of the city street in which it is positioned. It consists of residential apartments above retail space at street level. the section is of key interest in this development. the living spaces are almost 4m high, facing the street to the front of the site, while the bedrooms are located towards the rear on a split level, overlooking a courtyard garden. in this way, the articulation of the street facade is congruous with the existing context and the internal space useage is maximised across the volume of the building.
