the new gateway structure is positioned at the pinch point between the north and south mountain ranges and marks the entrance to the national park.
a weir across the existing stream is introduced at this point to create an informal, naturalistic lake. this offers an important visual marker as the visitor enters the resort and also extends the potential for recreation along the water for activities such as boating, fishing etc.
the structure was design built by the client in 2009 from sha concepts. |
