influenced by the idea of the
habitable bridge, the proposal creates spaces that offer flexibility
and a unique relationship to the surrounding context. it evokes
ideas expressed in the rialto bridge, venice, where the connection
across the water is as much an urban space as it is a route
from one side to the other. mediating between the basin edge
and the surface of the central square, the proposal can be
read as a manipulated piece of landscape that does not attempt
to compete with the scale of the surrounding development. |
