invited competition for instalation
in bellahouston park, as part of art-park glasgow.
the scheme proposed placing a garden within the remaining basement
of what was once bellahouston house. a sunken garden hidden
by dense foliage. the proposal aims to heighten the sense of
discovery and mystery in this ‘hidden-space’ –
to create a space of discovery in a public park – an intimate
herbal garden that observes the seasons – the passing
of time. planting is influenced by traditional herb gardens
and each section is devoted to a single species. |
