runcorn has a valuable resource
in its waterways but how can they be more integral to the life
of the town? could the canal act as a connection between the
north and south of the town rather than a division? We propose
a series of urban squares with distinct characters reconnecting
the high street to the canal, introducing live-work studios,
family houses and commercial units and establishing the canal
quarter as part of the urban centre of runcorn. |
