the proposed development is conceived of as a mixed-use development that mediates between the monumental scale of the surrounding landscape (and in particular the distant flat-top mountain) and the much smaller scale of the surrounding residential district (and the human scale of the adjacent park to the south of the site).
the proposal broadly consists of the following accommodation. a ninety room three star hotel with a large function suite, restaurant, bar and fitness club together with all the requisite ancillary accommodation. thirty-five four-star hotel suites with each suite consisting of 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms and a shared living room and kitchenette. retail along the main access road to the north of the site. 63 two-bedroom and 6-three bedroom dwellings located above the retail.
